My Research

WHAT IS THE RESEARCH ABOUT?

The research aims to discover more about the wedding planning industry and the niche for wedding planners. An analysis of where engaged couples spend their money will be carried out in order to give wedding planners increased knowledge about which aspects of the industry gain the highest profits. Is it a case of the engaged couple spending the most money on the aspect of the wedding that is most important to them, or their family/friends, or society?

The consumption of weddings is explored with the intention of discovering why engaged couples consume certain products during the wedding planning process. Consuming a product involves the desire to consume the product, experiencing or purchasing the product, and then recollecting the product. Therefore this research aims to investigate which products are favoured by engaged couples and discover current trends with regards to consumption.

  • The position is 100% voluntary and you can drop out at any time if taking part is no longer convenient.

WHO IS CARRYING OUT THE RESEARCH?

This research is being conducted by myself, an undergraduate Event Management student from University of Lincoln. I aim to go into the wedding planning industry once I have graduated from university which has led to me conducting this research for my dissertation.
